Please join us as we celebrate 80 years of commitment to African American families and communities. The area-wide chapters of Northern Virginia will honor our Founders with a High Tea at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner Virginia.

The theme for the afternoon – Hats Off to Giving: Transforming African American Communities

What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?
Self-parking at the Ritz Carlton is $12.00 and valet parking is $15.00. However, you have the option to park at the mall entrance free of charge.

What’s the refund policy?
There are no refunds for this event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, your name will appear on the Eventbrite registration. However, please maintain your e-confirmation as your receipt.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes. Please email jjfoundersday2018@gmail.com no later than 3 days before the event with the new registrant’s information.

Are prospective mothers invited to this event?
No. This event is closed to Jack and Jill mothers.

Are children invited to this event?
Children are not invited to attend. This is a Mothers only event.

What is the attire? Are hats required?
High Tea in the United States is normally associated with fancy dress but it doesn’t have to be. If you would be comfortable wearing your outfit to church, it will likely be appropriate for the tea. Suits, dresses, skirts, sweater sets, dress pants/pant suits are appropriate. Hats, fascinators or hair accessories are optional.

What if I have a gluten intolerance?
The Ritz Carlton offers several options that are gluten-free or gluten-conscious. They include: a selection of homemade scones, tea sandwiches, and pastries with fruit.
