Overview
If you are looking for a top African art gallery then look no further. The gallery is in a rehabbed grey stone where the 35th business district meets the historical residential brick and stone residences of King Drive. It’s three floors of art from various artists. When I was last there they had an exhibition of Southern Africa artists with some amazing sculptures. Andre Guichard (the owner) is very welcoming and exhibits some of this own work.
A great excuse to visit is the South Side 3rd Friday Art Trolley Tour during the summer. It is definitely worth a stop (and is a good place to start) the free trolley tour.
