Relaxed and cultural atmosphere, Kombit is named after the traditional farming ritual where workers unite in a collaborative—a collective effort—for the good of the community. Established in 2004 Kombit owners, three siblings were dedicated to the realization of inspiring the community with the appreciation of the rich culture of Haiti. While dining you are surrounded by Haitian art and listen to fine Haitian musical rhythms and creations uplifting in its exuberance. On Friday evenings, you will enjoy a live Haitian band  playing various musical rhythms—exemplifying their belief in sharing the rich culture of the world. Kombit was designed under the Felix sisters’ creative direction and brought to life by their innovative entrepreneurial spirits. Kombit offers a menu of authentic Haitian Cuisine, deliciously prepared with organic spices. Each dish is freshly prepared. Kombit does something nice with Yautia (Taro Root), serving them as an appetizer called ” Akra “. You get a generous portion of food at Kombit, especially if you like rice and beans, the standard side dish. Be adventurous and order the Lambi (conch dish), an exquisite seafood dish that is well-known by all Caribbean islanders for how it is prepared by Haitian chefs. For vegetarian lovers, try the Legume (le’-geem), simply mouth watering. Eat here a couple times, and you’ll notice, that several flavor boosters are used again and again. The mince of parsley, onion, and garlic moistened with lemon juice and olive oil to name a few. We can’t give the entire secret away! The restaurant is arranged with clusters of tables and make for fun huddles, but equally inviting is a long bar, tended to by their attentive and knowledgeable staff who help you make a pick from the cocktail list. The drinks gather together some of the best of the liquid pleasures of Haiti and the Caribbean.  You can also choose to seat by a picture window that looks onto the street action.
