Barbara J. Slay (better known as BJ) owner of BJ Professional is proud to be one of a very few black owned beauty supply companies in Chicago, and the only woman owner/operator of a full service beauty supply. BJ’s is a family owned business. Carla (BJ’s daughter) is the store manager, Norvel (Bj’s brother) manages shipping locally, and Dorothy and Willa (cousins) are the cashiers.
