InI Vibez

I’m Aisha, Grenadian born Roots designer, Mommy of 3 Princesses, Lover of Life, Seeker of truth, Rasta Woman with a definite Passion for Funky and Fly fashion.

I came to the truth and realization long ago that one can only move forward by embracing their history. One of the ways that I accomplish this is through my design work. It all began in my late teens while on a path of self discovery and my African history. I was instantly intrigued by the vibrant colours and thought-provoking aesthetics African prints and textiles provided and began to incorporate them in my personal fashion. In 2005, I learned how to Crochet a hat and a talent was discovered! For a few years I just played around with making things, for my girls mostly, then dresses, skirts, tops, etc for myself and others. Jewelry and other accessories soon followed. In 2010 I was laid off and from there I put my mind on making my craft more of a full-time thing. Through the fusing my Love of Fashion, Culture, African textiles, a passion for crocheting, and a lot of free time due to the loss of my job InI Vibez manifested!

All my pieces are crafted solely with my hands and loving energy in my little apartment here in Brooklyn. Which serves as not only home but work studio, and school for my 3 girls…so there is a lot of creating and creative energy in this space.
