Nippy Lavern Fashions

Nippy Lavern Fashions was founded by Jessica Tiffany Martin also known as “Nippy” on March 31, 2008. Our vision: to create a leading brand for women’s clothing with a couture high fashion style and a unique flair. Nippy Lavern Fashions was named after an extraordinary young woman name Darlene “Nippy Lavern” Taylor, Martin’s aunt, who was killed in a car accident by a Drunk Driver at only 22 years old in 1988. In remembrance of her, the founding date of our company is on her birthday.

Nippy Lavern intends to establish a scholarship program in Darlene Lavern Taylor’s name and to conduct additional fundraising efforts for the Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Foundation (which helped the Taylor family get through the terrible tragedy.)

Nippy Lavern aims to provide luxury, attention to detail, fit and comfort with our wearable art garments. Our company provides much more than a simple ready to wear line. Nippy Lavern Fashions is housed in Brooklyn. Creator Jessica Martin has participated in over 68 fashion shows and has produced 4 collection photo shoots since 2008. The Allan Houston Foundation awarded Nippy Lavern Fashions with a monetary award as one of the top 5 hardest working businesses in May of 2008; Citigroup and Lenovo also presented the company with a an award for this achievement. Nippy Lavern Fashions opened their first store in Brooklyn, NY on October 10, 2010. The Nippy Lavern Fashions Boutique allows the company to better cater to their ever growing clientele. The boutique features custom pieces, as well as accessories and other clothing.
