A. Cisse (left) and Chekh Cisse, the owners and Executive Chefs at Ponty Bistro are two cousins who moved to the United States in 1995 from Senegal. They entered the restaurant business fourteen years ago and have worked for internationally renowned chefs at restaurants including Daniel Boulud at Daniel Restaurant, Vong and Mercer Kitchen for Jean-Georges Vongerichten and others. Ponty Bistro fulfills their dream of owning their own restaurant.
We have developed a three-star menu of unique African and French cuisine. Our menu includes traditional foods such as Niokolokoba as well as customized dishes like moules Africana served in African spices and french fries,” says Chekh.
