Overview
Unique Afrique, Inc. is a business idea conceived “a lifetime ago” by two young globetrotting “Africanist fashionistas,” Alice Dear and Gloria Dickinson. They shared with enthusiasm their afro-centric life-styles and taste for African art, crafts and fashions with admiring friends, and eventually with clients. Once graduate school and career building trumped their pursuit of entrepreneurship, the former Howard University roommates suspended company operations and their short-lived business model. The hiatus lasted much longer than anticipated.
