June Wright-was born the year 1949, in the Republic of Trinidad San Fernando “Tobago”. June was only 9 years old when her mother died and had to be raised by her grandparents. Her grandmother was from the South of China in a town traditionally known for their herbs and spices. At the tender age of 10 her grandmother taught her all about seasonings, herbs and spices.

From the likings of their very own backyard, they would pick from their farm land the various herbs, spices, and vegetables to blend into their very own brand of seasoning. June would sell her well-known tasty spices to family, friends, and people that lived in the town. When you wanted Hot Pepper or Tasty seasonings the Wright Family is who you would go see. June blessed all five of her children (Ishmael, Laura, Pamela, Lynard and Letta), with the family gift; teaching them the secrets of how to make the well-loved seasonings in addition to several family original baked goods.

Her eldest and only son Ishmael Wright ventured off to the United States, to bring the family tradition of making the Wright’s Spice to new heights. His quest was to carry on the family brand and expand it to international markets.

The product was first introduced to the Brooklyn community, hitting the local shops, and markets. On April 15, 2012, the products were exposed to Food Magazine, and both products the Traditional Seasoning and the Spicy “Hot Pepper Sauce” won 1st place awards from the Food Magazine’s convention in Atlanta Georgia.

Since then Ishmael has re-Invented the wheel and by the people’s choice and popular demand he has produced the one and only Wright’s Organic Dry Seasoning. The legacy lives on and Ishmeal along with his family, his business partner and lifelong friend Telia S. Lambey will continue to hold on to the very essence of June’s Wright “Purpose”-to serve people with quality products giving great customer service while satisfying you with her Great Seasonings.
